Rochester NY is also known as 'The Flower City' and Lilac Festival is arranged every year in the city. This festival is celebrated every May for ten days. Every year about 10,000 visitors come on the festival and about 400 varieties of the lilacs are presented in the festival. Despite the reputation as a metropolitan city, Rochester NY has always promoted the local culture. The major cultural of the city is represented by Genesee Country Village and Museum.
