The overlap of the corrugated sheets prevents water from backing up into the building. Metal buildings are much better than wooden buildings. Metal buildings will not warp like wood does. With metal buildings, there is no worry about a fire hazard. Wood rot and termites are very real concerns for a wooden building but not for a metal building.
