By having an ASE certified technician work on your car, you are assured of high quality service. A technician becomes ASE certified if he has passed at least one of the Institute exams and has at minimum two years of confirmed experience working as a technician. ASE tests the technician in areas such as engine repair and performance, electronic systems, brakes, heating and air conditioning, drive train, axles, and automatic transmissions. A technician can also take specialized examinations in collision repair, damage estimates, and auto parts.
